Labelling and packerline

One production line, two different containers and two different labeling machines. How do we bring it all together for efficient and flexible production? At this customer within the food industry, both cans and plastic tubs pass through the production line.

The question to us was whether we could develop a solution where both the cans and the tubs go through their own labeling machine, but then use the same packer machine. Our engineering team came up with a nice solution that uses both the labeling machine of the tubs and the cans.

The track that is linked to the labeller for the cans can be disconnected and moved. This keeps the track accessible when tubs are processed.

The feed conveyor to the packer can drive in two directions; the cans come from the left, the tubs from the right. For example, different types of packaging can be labeled and packed on the same production line with a flexible solution. Not only does this save a lot of space for the customer, it also makes them much more flexible and efficient in production.
