Blister print machine

We designed the blister printing machine for a pharmaceutical manufacturer. This blister printing machine is a system that prints codes with high quality on two types of blisters. The unit can be used in a packaging line for mass production of medicines. The blisters are fed from a blister forming machine and output to a cartoning machine.

The blisters are sucked from the supply belt to the conveyor belt by means of vacuum. The printer then applies the desired code to the blister. The camera checks whether the print meets the requirements. In case the print fails, the blister is blown out into the error bin. If the blister passes, the blister will be transported to the output, where it will be ejected to the infeed spiral of the cartoning machine. The operator can choose to check an approved blister. After the operator's order, it is blown out into a collection bin. During the start-up of the machine, a quantity of correctly printed blisters is blown out into the collection bin, which is used to manually fill the input of the cartoning machine.

The blister printing unit consists of the following functional parts: transport belt, printer, camera, an error bin, a collection bin and output.
